PicHunt

Imagine that you have a photo in your computer which represents a beautiful landscape, but you would like to download more such images from the Internet. In this situation, you will need to use the Google Image search service and analyze each image separately, to find a match to the existing one. But this process becomes obsolete when using the PicHunt application, a program which can automatically analyze a certain photo and can find similar images on the Internet, with a push of a button.

Installing PicHunt is not a problem, as its installer requires just a couple of clicks. After the program has been loaded, the first thing to do is to load the desired image. After doing so, the user must choose the parameters for the scanning process, either by frequency or by using a self-organizing map. After choosing one of these two options, the process can begin and soon, the user will see the interface of PicHunt populated with numerous photos found on the Internet.

Besides displaying thumbnails for the found images, PicHunt will also display the number of found photos, the number of processed URLs and the elapsed time. At this point, you will be able to save the list of found images by right clicking on the interface and choosing Save. Unfortunately, there is no option for saving the images directly. A text file will be produced, containing all the links of the found photos.
